The Garden of Unearthly Delights came about as a result of my continued use of road kill and found creatures, the inclusion of these subjects in what would normally be ‘pretty’ floral compositions amused my darker side but also alluded to the fact that everything has a cycle of life and death feeds that. bones, corpses and found ephemera are installed in these large format prints. The paper is segmented allowing for extension to accommodate the scale but also to reference the partitioning of our lives. These lumen prints are long exposures, direct contact with the subject matter and are then stabilised in the usual way. I then scan them and make archival pigment prints.
